WHITE TARA EMPOWERMENT

with Eastern US National Spiritual Director, Kadam Morten Clausen

Everyone is welcome to join and receive this blessing empowerment, listen to teachings and meditate together.

Meditation increases our inner peace and happiness but the real goal of Buddhist meditation goes beyond incremental improvement. The goal is to gain a pervasive experience of happiness, love, compassion, confidence and wisdom and to have those experiences become stable and lasting. In other words, the goal is to gain actual heartfelt realizations of Buddha’s teachings.

The focus of our Dharma Celebration will be how to arrange our meditation practice so that we can be confident that it is leading us to realizations. Kadam Morten will grant the blessing empowerment of the White Tara, connecting us to a powerful source of wisdom that will sustain us throughout our spiritual life. During the weekend-long event, Kadam Morten will be offering teachings on the wisdom of emptiness, the word used by Buddha to describe the ultimate nature of reality.

What is an Empowerment? |

“An empowerment bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature.”  — Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

A blessing empowerment is a transformative guided meditation. It servers to connect our body, speech and mind to a Buddha’s enlightened body, speech and mind. Through receiving their blessings we can swiftly actualize our own potential and gain the confidence we need to progress along the spiritual path. Through the power of our compassion we can help to bring enormous relief to our suffering world.
